15 October 2020 - ecta, represented by its Director General Luc Hindryckx, participates to the Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG) Virtual Workshop on Radio Spectrum Policy Programme
RSPG is actively engaged in drafting an Opinion on a Radio Spectrum Policy Programme (RSPP) targeting the 2025/2030 time horizon and covering various sectors using spectrum and supporting European Union policies.
Five main pillars for this new RSPP are under development; 1) strategic spectrum issues, 2) spectrum supporting EU policies, 3) spectrum governance, 4) external relations and 5) other strategic topics such as Climate Change, EMF, pandemic recovery, media policy.
This workshop will be an opportunity to collect expectations from stakeholders on issues supporting Union policies and to identify possible concrete strategic actions and policy initiatives to be included in the RSPG Opinion on a Radio Spectrum Policy Programme.
The workshop will be conducted as a “speed-dating session” where you will have strictly 10 minutes at your disposal to give your input to the following three questions:
- What are the most burning spectrum policy and strategic issues in your sector on a 5 to 15 year horizon?
- What could you or your sector bring to the European spectrum policy table to make the future spectrum use easier for everyone else?
- What are your expectations on European spectrum policy and possible concrete strategic actions under a new RSPP?
