Munich, 30th June 2006 - The European Computer Telecoms Group (ECT) has concluded a contract with Belgium's leading fixed-line carrier. Following a worldwide tender, the carrier chose to implement its new intelligent network service using ECTA's INtellECT Service Control Points, and to launch a bespoke solution for network-based call centres using ECTA's effECTive® Service Number Suite.
Virtually all suppliers of network-based call centre services based on intelligent network architecture were invited to participate in this tender. This was probably one of the most important contracts for intelligent networks services in Europe in 2005, said Dr. Marshall E. Kavesh, CEO and co-founder of ECT. This highly discriminating and well-known carrier rated our proposal the best across the board, attesting to our ability to provide state-ofthe-art technology and a bespoke solution to fit exactly the needs of business customers.
We are convinced that Belgacom´s new Voice Managed Service (VMS) will be a great success and are dedicated to contributing to that success wherever and whenever possible. As a result of the successful cooperation, Belgacom has turned to ECT for the provision of additional value-added services and solutions, which are currently under discussion.

About the effECTive® Service Number Suite:
ECT has developed a new range of application modules for service numbers collectively known as the effECTive® Service Number Suite. This solution offers five different application modules, providing carriers with tailor-made service number solutions for all customer segments. Employing these modules, end customers not only get call routing and call distribution through the carrier's network, carriers also provide their customers with numerous intelligent functions and performance features for service numbers. As the intelligence is based in the carrier's network, their customers don't have to invest into cost-intensive special equipment when they realise virtual call centres, IVR systems, fax servers, autoattendants, etc. with free phone, shared-cost or premium lines. Carriers and their customers can administer and configure these services easily and in real time via the integrated web interface.
- A solution for every need: effECTive® Service Number Suite's five modules hold countless solutions in store regardless of what the business environment requires. With this application you can serve small and medium-sized businesses as well as companies facing large traffic volumes. In addition, each solution can be further specified and customised depending on your needs and those of your customer.
- Real-time statistics: All effECTive® application modules include real-time statistics features. This allows your business customer to monitor online all calls currently processed by each service number in the network. An easyto-use graphical Web interface provides up-to-date information. Another option: You can monitor the traffic and send the statistics to your customer via e-mail or SMS.
- Expanding capacities, adding other Value-Added Services: Based on ECTA's highly available and redundant AutoCarrier® softswitch and/or INtellECT® intelligent network (IN), you can easily and seamlessly install and operate other Value-Added Services alongside effECTive® Service Number Suite. Also, should your customer require an upgrade of his current effECTive® installation in the wake of growing traffic, capacity can be increased within a matter of 24 hours.
About the European Computer Telecoms Group (ECT)
Established in 1998, ECT develops and enables value-added voice services for leading fixed and mobile operators worldwide.
Our parent company, the European Computer Telecoms AG, is an unlisted German public company with world-class engineering and production facilities in Munich, Germany. Within Europe, our local direct sales and maintenance services are provided by wholly-owned subsidiaries in England, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland. We also work closely with value-added resellers, global integrators and OEM partners worldwide.
ECT is first and foremost a company of entrepreneurs which is reflected in our outstanding business development. The products we implement for our customers are judged on the basis of their commercial performance, and within our company, we also pay strict attention to that most important business criterion: profitability. In 2004, we earned 4.4 million euros before tax, interest and depreciation with consolidated net retained profits of over 4.5 million euros and approximately the same amount of money in liquid funds at the close of the year. To ensure transparency for our customers, we publish our audited consolidated accounts annually and we expect our annual report for 2005 to show total revenue of nearly 20 million euros with even higher earnings and retained profits. In 2004 and 2005, ECT received the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award as one of Germany's fastest-growing technology companies. The ECT Group currently encompasses 125 employees.
