Guillermo Beltrà

Head of Legal and Economic Department, BEUC

Guillermo Beltrà is the Head of BEUC’s Legal and Economic Department.

BEUC represents 41 independent national consumer associations from 31 European countries. The primary task of BEUC is to act as a strong consumer voice in Brussels and to try to ensure that consumer interests are given their proper weight in the development of all EU policies.

Since 2011, Guillermo has been specifically in charge of BEUC’s work related to telecommunications markets and Internet policy issues, including on issues such as net neutrality, roaming, and the Sharing Economy. Guillermo also provides strategic advice to our Communications Department on new technologies and social media.

Before joining BEUC Guillermo was a Public Affairs and Public Relations consultant advising international clients on numerous technology and telecom issues. Guillermo holds a Law degree and a Master’s degree in International Relations, and has also been an independent web developer and online services’ advisor.
