Mario Rehse

Head of Public Affairs, United Internet AG

In his role as Head of Public Affairs Mario is leading the Public Affairs Team with liaison offices in Berlin and Brussels and is responsible for United Internet’s relations to decision makers on German and European level. Given the broad range of United Internet’s business activities with established brands such as 1&1, GMX, WEB.DE, STRATO and 1&1 Versatel, his main focus is on IT- and Telco-related regulation – including telecoms and media regulation, privacy, security, copyright, liability and law enforcement.

Prior to working for United Internet he was head of department at Germany’s biggest ICT association Bitkom and a lecturer in media law.

Mario is a fully qualified lawyer and holds a doctoral degree in law.
