Jon heads up Osborne Clarke's telecommunications practice. He is an experienced commercial telecommunications lawyer with considerable experience of working in the telecommunications market. Jon advises clients on all aspects of telecommunications and internet related law and issues and has written and lectured extensively on all aspects of internet, IT and telecoms law and regulation.

The Legal 500 has described Jon as having "‘an excellent understanding of law and regulation and a clear, practical understanding of the technology’ and as being "commercial and a proven deliverer of results". Chambers says that Jon is considered "a mobile guru" by one source. His recent work highlights include advising on MVNO arrangements, broadband delivery and telecoms infrastructure. "Jon is at the top of my list," said another source; "he really knows the industry inside out."

Jon is a trustee of the National museum of Computing at Bletchley Park.
