Gijs Phoelich

Chairman, ECTA

Gijs Phoelich is Chairman of ECTA since January 2016. He is General Counsel and Company Secretary for Eurofiber Group since November 1, 2008. In this role he is responsible for (corporate) legal, public and regulatory affairs. He is a member of the management team of the Company. Gijs started his career as an in-house lawyer for one of the major Energy Companies in the Netherlands. Since 2000 Gijs is actively involved in the regulatory development of the liberalized Telecommunications market in the Benelux and Europe, working as Director legal & regulatory affairs for different European telecommunications providers. Gijs studied law (Telecommunications and IT law) at Amsterdam University and got his MBA at Rotterdam School of Management.
