Dr. Marc Schütze, Vice President Regulation, Group United Internet and 1&1 at 1&1 Versatel
Since 2021, Dr. Marc Schütze is Vice President Regulation, Group United Internet and 1&1 at 1&1 Versatel. In his role, he is responsible in particular for telecommunications law, regulation and antitrust law, both for fixed-network and wireless services. From 2016 to 2020, he was also a member of the Executive Board of Drillisch Netz AG responsible for the development of the mobile network infrastructure and thus played a key role in setting the course for the development of 1&1 AG's own 5G mobile network. From 2000 to 2015 he worked as a lawyer and was partner at a leading telco law firm. In the relevant rankings at JUVE, Legal 500, GlobalChambers, Nomos Kanzleien etc.Dr. Marc Schütze has always been explicitly recommended for his professional expertise both in an advisory and forensic capacity with a wide range of successes. In addition, he was a lecturer for telecommunications law at the University of Düsseldorf for more than 10 years. Dr. Marc Schütze studied law at the Universities of Constance and Heidelberg as well as philosophy and sociology. He received his doctorate under Prof. W. Brugger, for whom he worked as a research assistant for 2 years. Dr. Marc Schütze is member of the board of Directors of the German vatm e.V. and the European Competiteve Telecommunications Association ECTA.
