Cyta Hellas Telecommunications S.A. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority. It was established in 2007 in Greece, as part of the mother company’s aim at expanding into international markets.
Cyta Hellas is presently active in the fixed telephony and broadband market. Today, the company provides data and voice bundles, which are consisted of 2play (internet + telephony) and 1play (internet) services for residential and business Customers. New services are added progressively, with the aim for a steady and healthy growth of its Customer base and the provision of a unique portfolio, satisfying the ever-increasing Customer needs.
Today, just after two years of its successful commercial launch into the Greek market, Cyta (Hellas) owns a private fiber optic network more than 2100 km in length. Currently Cyta’s services are available in Crete, areas in Western and Central Macedonia (prefectures of Florina, Pella, Grevena, Kozani, Kastoria, Imathia) as well as in the cities of Thessaloniki, Katerini, Larisa, Volos, Lamia, Patras and the islands of Aegina and Salamina. New areas are continuously added, thus bringing Cyta close to fulfilling the objective of a countrywide coverage.
The company’s installed Customer base is rapidly growing, exceeding Cyta’s initial projections.
